Sakura!

Towards the end of the sakura season we decided we wanted to enjoy ourselves too so we headed out to a close park for hanami (picnic/party under the cherry blossoms). It was a warm night, the blossoms were in full bloom, and we also got a full moon. Yay! The park we chose was well lit and also had playthings for the kids after they got tired of eating.
We spread the food, broke open the beers and shattered any peace and quiet the neighborhood had been enjoying. One of the guys also decided to commit sacrilege by climbing into the tree and shaking the branch for a petal shower.
Extra happy people we were. I'm so glad that we were in a rather secluded area.

The next day we went for a walk with the kids and got to enjoy another sakura shower, this time done by the wind. It was really pretty and it'll be sad to see it go.
Here's some day pics:

Circus excursion

In February, another Home offered us some circus tickets they had provisioned for the children in the area and Chubs went with Dada and the other kids in the Home, meeting up with other kids on the way. He was really excited about the prospect of riding a train there. Mommy showed him clips of circus shows to prep him up. He did just fine and had a great time.

Ready and raring to go

Old soccer photos

I always wanted to put up soccer photos and I wish I had photos of our last game, but since I'm usually in the game I only have some from the time I was injured or watching kids on the side. They're from last year, which were some great soccer days.

This photo wasn't staged. I took the shot then ducked to avoid this stray kick.
