アフリカ旅行の思い出 / Memory of Africa trip…

Here it is!! The long waited picture from our Africa trip. Since we had lots and lots of fun memories, I will be posting little by little. Enjoy!

It’s too hard to push with so many luggage!

What better way to wait for a plane then eating something yummy. Mia, thank you for always making us something yummy!!
I wonder which one is ours?

Children & Parents:

I did not have my mother long, but she cast over me an influence which has lasted all my life. The good effects of her early training I can never lose. If it had not been for her appreciation & her faith in me at a critical time in my experience, I should never likely have become an inventor. I was always a careless boy, & with a mother of different mental calibre, I should have turned out badly. But her firmness, her sweetness, her goodness, were potent powers to keep me in the right path. My mother was the making of me. The memory of her will always be a blessing to me.

お料理大好き!/ We love cooking!

When we ask the kids what they want to do in the evening with Daddy, their favorite project is “Make cookies!”
Of course Daddy will do most of the baking, and the kids will have fun with clay dough…
Eating is the best part of baking! Let’s eat (^-^)

Children & Parents:

A young successful attorney said: "The greatest gift I ever received was a gift I got one Christmas when my Dad gave me a small box. Inside was a note saying, 'Son, this year I will give you 365 hours, an hour every day after dinner. It's yours. We'll talk about what you want to talk about, we'll go where you want to go, play what you want to play. It will be your hour!'"

"My dad not only kept his promise," he said, "but every year he renewed it—and it's the greatest gift I ever had in my life. I am the result of his time."

従兄と初対面!/ Fun with cousins!

My brother, who was in Mexico and Venezuela for a missionary / volunteer work came back to Japan. The kids enjoyed the sushi party with their cousins for the first time!
They made good friends immediately!
After 6 years and half years, siblings’ picture!

Something to think about:

If you can team up with somebody, you’ll have people that can help, just be there at the right times, and you’ll find the 1 + 1 = 11, and not 2.
適切な人と組み、助けてくれる人と適切なタイミングでつながること。そうることによって、1 + 1 = 11となり、2ではありません。
I think that the actual purpose of life is to actually connect more to life, to have more life, to enjoy more life, to experience more life, not to sit and cram our head with knowledge from without, but actually to understand and remember what we already instinctively know.

Fun family outing!!

We decided to go to a very nice park with athletic, grass filed, and flower garden to meet out with Daddy’s friends. And of course we had fun picnic too!
Many kids around 5-7 were even scared at some of the athletic, but no, not Tiana. She did most of it on her own, with some other kids crying for help. I don’t know if I should be happy or worried for her…
Cute local Dutch children?
It was a fun day with friends and family! Hope we can go back again...

Something to think about:

The purpose of setting the goal is not to achieve the goal, but to see who you can become in the process of going after the goal.
If you know how to achieve the goals when you set them, then the goals are too small.

Happy Birthday, mama Mia!

Yesterday was our Godmother’s (aka Mia) Birthday!
Thank you so much for always being there for us,
Taking care of us when Daddy and or Mammy is not home,

Feeding us yummy food,
Play with us and so much more!

But last but not least: Good friend to Daddy and Mommy,
and we really love you!!
